"Forget everything you think you know about vampires..."
The year is 2040. A movement is underway to outlaw Christianity in the U.S. Thousands of still fervent believers are persecuted, jailed and even murdered for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. In New Orleans, outlaw churches are erected underground where people worship in secret. Seeking to restore the balance in Western civilization, civil unrest is ripping the country apart. Yet there is an even greater threat looming, one that no one could have suspected.
Mecca Forlorn is haunted by memories of a past shrouded in darkness and mystery. Shielded by a self-induced haze of sex, drugs and denial, a chance encounter sends her spiraling through a chilling labyrinth of dark secrets and terrifying revelations. Forced to face her fears along with questions better left unanswered, she finds herself trapped in a race against a time where nothing is what it seems.
From the shadows of a once great faith now reduced to ashes, an ancient evil emerges amidst terrorist attacks in America and abroad. Scavengers of darkness, their wrath on a city steeped in folklore will now become legend. As a shadowy presence lurks from underground, a group of armed vigilantes emerge, waging a war against an enemy far beyond anything they have ever imagined.
In the midst of the war exists a dark soul with the key to not only end the war but change the course of human history as we know it.

In Jacob Forlorn, lazarusInfinity has created a very complicated/complex character. The last passage could be straight out of a horror novel it was so spine chilling!
